We will be hosting a display of Quilts from Thursday 20th September- Sunday 23rd September of Quilts to raise awareness of dementia were laid on Hampden Park in 2014 by Ann Hill, Quilter in Residence at Alzheimer Scotland.   Quilts were made by Ann and quilters from all over the world including our own Dumfries and Galloway.   To date Ann has raised £96,380 from the sale of quilts and by giving talks and exhibiting the large memory exhibition quilts around the world.   Just back from the Spanish International Quilt Festival this week, Ann is bringing the quilts home to Dumfries to let those living with dementia see them and come and talk to Ann and her team along with members of staff from Alzheimer Scotland about what dementia means to them.   You never know, you might even persuade Ann to make a quilt for someone you know who is living with dementia.   It might even make it into another exhibition…….
